Adventures of Milo and Otis (1989)

The Adventures of Milo and Otis was originally a Japanese film released in 1986. A revamped, edited, Americanized version was completed with narration by Dudley Moore and released in 1989.  The film took over 4 years to make and more than 400,000 feet of film was shot.

At the time of the film’s release there were complaints from various animal cruelty groups in Europe that the animals were subject to inhumane treatment during the filming and that specifically cats had died during the filming. The American Humane Association heard these rumors but could not find any proof that any of these allegations were true.

Milo was played by twenty-seven different cats.

The film is entertaining for both children and adults.
